Europe’s fastest growing economy, buoyant employment figures and a feel good factor around UK plc are all clearly reflected in the dramatic growth of Mitsubishi vehicle sales in the UK. Passenger car sales for the brand are up 74 per cent year to date, according to SMMT figures released today.
In November alone, the company’s passenger car sales are 251 per cent up on last year against a UK market that is up 8.0 per cent.
Toby Marshall, Sales and Marketing Director says; “We are having an amazing year. Sales of all Mitsubishi models are up significantly. Last year we were the fastest growing main stream brand and this year our sales momentum continues”.
Emphasising that UK business and industry is back on track, the Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck, a vehicle in hot demand by businesses up and down the country, is up 21 per cent through November.
The Outlander PHEV is breaking all records and is now not only the UK’s most popular plug-in hybrid vehicle, but since September it has been outselling the traditional non plug-in hybrids.
Thanks in part to a new advertising campaign, the company’s ASX crossover vehicle is up by 60 per cent and sales of the Shogun have grown by nearly 70 per cent.
