TMW - 10,000 posts and going strong - Thank you to you all for reading my little blog.

From the inception of the blog a few years ago, my ideal future was to maybe hit 10,000 views over the history of the blog, never in wildest dreams did i ever think that i would be celebrating 10,000 posts, and nearly 1.9 million page views, and the blog is really only just now starting to get going.

With car brands now supplying cars for us to test out, invites to launches and more, we can only assume that the future of the blog is going to be bigger than ever, last month we hit the biggest ever with over 116,000 page views, and this has been a regular occurance for a few months now where we have topped 100,000, with the exception of December for obvious reasons, and some serious ill health, but were back now, and ready to hit 2 million page views imminently, and a tentative estimate of 3 million by the year end, we can hope.

From the two pie charts you can see the OS and how they are opened, Windows and Chrome are the biggest, with Mac and Firefox following up behind, from the map below you cna see where our biggest views are from, with good old Blighty taking the top spot with the US following along in second, and far behind that our German friends, Russia, France and the Ukraine, this is the overall biggest, however on a daily basis there are other countries within the top ten, with Russia frequently in the top three, and some countries, that you would maybe not expect to find, sitting there, with viewers and readers.

The biggest posts are above, with one, just shy of 6,500, there is even one from this year already in the top readers list at nearly 1,300 reads, 

So, albeit a brief and concise post, the long and the short of it is for us to say thank you, THANK YOU ALL very much, for spending your valuable time reading the posts i have placed, and to thank the brands that have given us cars to test, events invited too, freebies and loads of info, please carry on reading, there is more to come, lots of decent cars being tested this year, from Subaru's to FIAT's, Citroens, MG;s and Peugeots and more, and please, if you have any requests, please feel free to ask, i will try my best in accommodating them, so, thanks and carry on reading.

Citroën Grand C4 Picasso wins the ‘Best 7-Seater’ prize in the Carbuyer Best Car Awards

Citroën Grand C4 Picasso scoops the ‘Best Seven-Seater’ prize in the prestigious Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2017. 

New Grand C4 Picasso was chosen by the Carbuyer road-test team because of its running costs, comfort, practicality, reliability and safety, as well as its new technologies, value-for-money and optional extras.  

New Citroën Grand C4 Picasso has taken the ‘Best Seven-Seater’ prize in the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2017. 

The ultra-practical family car was recognised for its superior comfort and innovative technologies, alongside a supremely spacious and versatile interior.

Carbuyer announced its Best Cars for 2017 at London’s Curzon Bloomsbury Cinema on Wednesday. The Carbuyer awards celebrate and recognise the very best cars available in the UK. 

The awards are driven by the popular Carbuyer.co.uk Best Cars section, which includes in-depth analysis on every new car on sale today.

Hugely popular UK buying guide hails drop-top Audi A3 a ‘best buy’ for 2017

Critical acclaim has frequently been heaped on the Audi A3 range since the first generation was introduced in 1996, and the latest recognition for the premium compact star has come in the form of a Best Cars trophy from trusted review website Carbuyer.co.uk, which has singled out the A3 Cabriolet as the Best Convertible for 2017.

A multitude of key driver aids can also dramatically improve the overall comfort and safety of each journey. Particular highlights from the assistance system portfolio include Traffic Jam Assist, which actively works with the adaptive cruise control system and can accelerate, brake and even steer the A3 Cabriolet at speeds of up to 37mph, active lane assist which can gently steer the car to keep it in lane above 40mph and emergency assist, which is capable of intervening and bringing the car to a gradual standstill if no response is detected from the driver.

The multi award-winning Astra picked up the accolade in the Best Family Car category, and was commended for its design, value for money and build quality.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia has been named ‘Safest New Car’ in the Carbuyer ‘Best Cars’ Awards

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia has been named ‘Safest New Car’ in the Carbuyer ‘Best Cars’ Awards, adding to the large collection of international prizes already won by the new sports car.

Presented by Carbuyer editor Stuart Milne at an awards event today (30 November) in London, the ‘Safest New Car’ title came following deliberation from Carbuyer’s team of motoring experts, after safety was found to be one of the website’s readers’ most popular searches.

“The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the long-awaited replacement for the 159 saloon, and with good looks, impressive engines and plenty of interior space, it’s certainly been worth the wait,” says Stuart Milne.

2015 is a record year for us here with a growth in readers, Last month alone topped 50,000, and so far since we started our little blog, we have topped 800,000, so within a few months of next year will smash through the One Million barrier.

This is so far removed from anything that we ever thought possible, when we started, we thought that a few hundred a month would be a nice level to settle at, but that came and went, as did 400, 600, 800, 1,000, and on, most days we are around the 1,400-2,000 mark.

And for that alone, we would like to thank you, this year we even banned less than last year, for spamming or foul language, neither of which is acceptable, a number of car brands send messages of support, and the invitations come in to test drive cars and review them, so thanks go to them.

2016, we are aiming to hit 1.3 million by the year end, and lift daily hits to around 2,000 or more.

It is getting harder and harder to keep up, and some days for various reasons i can not post, but you still come by and have a read.

so, once again, have a great festive couple of weeks, and we hope that 2016 brings you everything you wish for.
