Method of Determining FCA US LLC’s Monthly Sales. FCA US’s reported vehicle sales represent unit sales of vehicles to retail customers, deliveries of vehicles to fleet customers and to others such as FCA US’s employees and retirees as well as vehicles used for marketing.
Most of these reported sales reflect retail sales made by dealers out of their own inventory of vehicles previously purchased by them from FCA US.  Reported vehicle units sales do not correspond to FCA US’s reported revenues, which are based on FCA US’s sale and delivery of vehicles, and typically recognized upon shipment to the dealer or end customer. As announced on July 26, 2016, FCA US has modified its methodology for monthly sales reporting as follows:
  • Sales to retail customers by dealers in the U.S. are derived from the New Vehicle Delivery Report (“NVDR”) system and are determined as the sum of (A) all sales recorded by dealers during the month net of all unwound transactions recorded to the end of that month (whether the original sale was recorded in the current month or any prior month); plus (B) all sales of vehicles during that month attributable to past unwinds that had previously been reversed in determining monthly sales (in the current or prior months).
  • Fleet sales are recorded upon the shipment of the vehicle by FCA US to the customer or end user.
  • Other retail sales are recorded either (A) when the sale is recorded in the NVDR system (for sales by dealers in Puerto Rico and limited sales made through distributors that submit NVDRs in the same manner as for sales by U.S. dealers) or (B) upon receipt of a similar delivery notification (for vehicles for which NVDRs are not entered such as vehicles for FCA employees).

Alfa Romeo to have a host of new and historic cars on the hill & on display at the Goodwood Show.

Alfa Romeo will debut the eagerly-anticipated Alfa Romeo Stelvio in the UK for the first time at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, 29th June – 2nd July.
The marque’s first SUV in its 107-year history will swap the Stelvio Pass for the famous 1.6 mile Goodwood Hillclimb for its inaugural UK dynamic first glance.
Having first been unveiled at the LA Auto Show, those attending the Festival of Speed will be lucky enough to witness the Stelvio’s distinctive Italian styling, thrilling performance and Q4 all-wheel drive at close quarters.
It’s the second year in a row that Alfa Romeo has unveiled a new model at the iconic automotive event, after the marque uncovered the award-winning Alfa Romeo Giulia sports saloon on its stand in 2016.
The range topping Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, powered by a 510hp Bi-Turbo V6 engine, will appear on the Alfa Romeo stand alongside the recently launched 280hp 2.0-litre petrol engine Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce.
Showcasing the full power of the Italian manufacturer, the modern line-up will be completed by the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and the high-performance Alfa Romeo 4C Spider.
While the launch of Giulia and Stelvio signify the start of a new era for Alfa Romeo, fans will still be able to experience Alfa Romeo’s iconic motorsport heritage. Transported over specially from Alfa Romeo’s official museum, Museo Storico, the Alfa Romeo GTAm, Alfa Romeo 33/3 Le Mans and Alfa Romeo 155 DTM will all take on the Goodwood Hillclimb during the weekend. As an extra treat for life-long F1 fans, the Alfa Romeo Brabham F1 will be on static display in the Martini paddock.
Andrew Tracey, Country Manager, Alfa Romeo UK, commented: “Goodwood Festival of Speed encapsulates the Alfa Romeo spirit of being inspired by the past whilst looking to the future, so as with Giulia last year, it made perfect sense for the UK reveal of our hotly anticipated Alfa Romeo SUV, Stelvio, to take place at this year’s festival.
“With a modern range of cars spanning from supermini, to hatchback, to saloon, to sports coupe and now SUV, we really do have an exciting line-up of cars all deserving of the iconic Alfa Romeo badge.”
Historic cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Alfa Romeo GTAm
  • Maximum power: 210hp
  • Max speed: 143 mph
  • Production year: 1970
The 1750 GTAm is derived from the American version of Alfa Romeo’s famous Giulia GTA coupé. Unlike the model sold in Europe, the GTAm was equipped with Spica indirect mechanical fuel injection making it more suitable for competition. The main differences in the bodywork were the extensive use of steel instead of aluminium and the fibreglass extensions riveted on the wheel arches, which gave the car an even more aggressive and race-bred appearance. Modifications to the engine were just as important, with the overall displacement increasing to 1985cc.
The GTAm soon reaped success in the European Touring Car Championship, with Toine Hezemans winning in Monza, Budapest and Jarama. The hat-trick of victories led to Hezemans taking the championship crown at the end of the season. Italian drivers Andrea de Adamich and Gian Luigi Picchi won at the Nürburgring, while Picchi also won at Dutch circuit, Zandvoort.
Alfa Romeo 33/3 Le Mans
  • Maximum power: 400 hp
  • Max speed: 193 mph
  • Production year: 1970
The 33/3, produced in 1969, featured a new box-section structure made of Avional, with the gearbox cantilevered beyond the rear axle. Various configurations were tested for the body and often changed according to the track: in most cases the open version was used, but there were also several closed cars.
Despite the car taking the chequered flag at Zeltweg and Pergusa in 1969 it continued undergoing work to improve its performance. Two years later an even better version hit the tarmac boasting an incredible 420 hp. It also featured a redesigned gearbox with five speeds and was reduced in weight, down to just 650kg.
The modified car proved to be a fierce competitor from its first race, claiming victories in the Brands Hatch 1000 Kilometres and The Six Hours of Watkins Glen. However, its most memorable performance of the season was its victory at the iconic Targa Florio.
Alfa Romeo 155 DTM
  • Maximum power: 420 hp
  • Max speed: 130 mph
  • Production year: 1993
After the 1992 racing season, Alfa Corse, Alfa Romeo’s factory racing team, decided to increase their range of vehicles by working on several racing versions of the 155. One of the most ambitious targets was to be competitive in the hugely popular and challenging DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft), the German Touring Car Championship.
The 155 underwent a drastic modification process in order to be fit for purpose for the championship. The standard 60° V6 engine in light alloy was transformed while still observing two main limitations: both the distance between the cylinders and the material used for the engine block had to be the same as in the production versions. Additionally, the bodywork was made of carbon fibre and the chassis was reinforced with a roll cage.
Unbelievably the car was victorious on its debut at the Belgian circuit in Zolder. It was the first of many victories for Nicola Larini who went on to win the championship in 1993. Incredibly, Larini chalked up 10 out of the 20 races that year, the most race victories in the history of a DTM campaign. Alessandro Nannini contributed two victories that year, too.
Alfa Romeo Brabham BT-45B F1
  • Maximum power: 500hp
  • Max speed: 200 mph
  • Production year: 1977
In 1975, the 33’s engine gave Alfa Romeo the chance to return to Formula 1 in style. That was the season in which Autodelta finally managed to take the World Championship for Makes with the Tipo 33 TT12, winning a phenomenal seven races out of eight. From there an agreement was reached with Bernie Ecclestone’s Brabham Martini Racing Team, one of the highest profile teams at the time, for Alfa Romeo to supply 12-cylinder engines, slightly modified to fit the monocoque of the BT 45.
The integration of Alfa Romeo’s class-leading engineering attracted the likes of Carlos Pace, John Watson and World Champion Niki Lauda to the team. Lauda went on to win two races in 1978.
About Alfa Romeo’s official museum, Museo Storico

The four vehicles on display are borrowed from Alfa Romeo’s incredible heritage collection and are often on display at the recently-reopened Alfa Romeo museum in Arese, Milan. Completely refurbished this year, the museum has more than 70 of the collection’s 250-plus cars on display at any given time (69 of the most significant pieces in Alfa Romeo’s historic collection within the museum plus various temporary exhibitions), grouped together in sections titled “Timeline”, “Beauty” and “Speed”.

Built around the driver, Alfa Romeo Giulia designers focused on simplistic elegance, with an emphasis on incorporating the essential elements for performance. The designers did this while taking a top-down strategy – starting with the halo high-performance 505-hp 2.9L twin-turbo V6 Quadrifoglio model – ensuring top performance, impeccable handling, and luxurious design and trickling that technology and craft down throughout the Giulia line-up today.

Below, in the center console, the rotary controller is ergonomically located and features a simple operation of the entertainment system. Last, the Alfa DNA drive mode selector (featuring three standard drive modes: Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficiency) is adjacent to the automatic shifter, enabling the driver to easily adjust the Alfa Romeo Giulia’s driving behavior.
In addition to the expansive list of standard features in the all-new Giulia, Giulia Ti adds even more luxury and convenience offerings, including standard 18-inch wheels, genuine wood interior accents, front park sensors, an 8.8-inch widescreen infotainment display along with heated steering wheel and heated front seats.

The exterior stands apart with unique front fascia featuring industry’s first carbon fiber active aero front splitter, rear fascia with quad exhaust and a rear diffuser, carbon fiber accents including rear spoiler, side rocker panels, roof and hood, all finished off by four available 19-inch wheel designs and signature colored calipers.

AUTOCAR GAME CHANGER - The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a true game changer for the brand.

  • Alfa Romeo Giulia named a ‘Game Changer’ at 2017 Autocar Awards
  • Lauded for its ‘incredible performance and exciting handling’
  • The Giulia is available to buy now from £29,550 OTR
The Alfa Romeo Giulia has been named a ‘Game Changer’ at the 2017 Autocar Awards as it has signalled ‘a complete transformation for one of the most loved names in motoring’.
Mark Tisshaw, Editor of Autocar, commented: “This is not only the most competitive Alfa Romeo saloon since the last Giulia was launched more than half a century ago but, crucially for anyone with Alfisti blood lurking in their veins, it’s the most likeable, too. With its incredible performance and exciting handling, the Giulia is everything you’d want an Alfa Romeo to be.”
Developed by the best engineers, designers and stylists within FCA, the new Giulia embodies the core elements that have made Alfa Romeo one of the world's best-loved automotive brands: Distinctive Italian design; innovative powertrains, perfect weight distribution, unique technical solutions and the best weight-to-power ratio.
Collecting the award at the event in the Silverstone Wing, Ashley Andrew, Managing Director FCA UK, remarked; “The Giulia has marked a turning point for Alfa Romeo, signalling a new era for the company where the driver is back at the heart of everything we do. Its engaging drive, five star NCAP rating, with highest ever recorded adult occupancy score, and impressive residual values has echoed across the brand, bolstering buyer confidence. The success of the Giulia has allowed us to expand the range with the introduction of the 280hp Veloce, bridging the gap between the standard Giulia and the Quadrifoglio. It also lays the ground for the introduction of Alfa Romeo’s first ever SUV- the Stelvio – due for launch later this year.”
Autocar says that its ‘Game Changers’ are cars that ‘bring new, higher standards to their classes, or because they defy conventions to benefit buyers.’ Of the Giulia, Autocar says: “The Giulia is a riveting, idiosyncratic and striking entrant into a class usually defined by an understated brand of superiority.”

  • The heart of the Quadrifoglio is the all-new, all-aluminum direct injection 2.9L twin-turbo intercooled V-6, producing 505 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque, and is what makes the Giulia Quadrifoglio the most powerful Alfa Romeo production car ever

The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio was crowned “Car of Texas” and also took home honors for “Performance Sedan of Texas” and “Most Drives” at the Texas Auto Roundup hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
“The Giulia Quadrifoglio took to the track at Circuit of The Americas and thoroughly impressed our journalists with its nimble handling, compelling Ferrari-derived 505-horsepower V-6 engine along with its true Italian flair,” said Nic Phillips, President of TAWA. “Alfa Romeo has created something original, something extraordinary in just about every measure with the Giulia Quadrifoglio – one of those cars you have to experience to believe – whether you’re on the track or looking for a smile-inducing drive to work, this sedan delivers it all and quite comfortably at that.”
With its 20 turns, 133-foot hill and a coned-slalom segment in the straightaway, the 3.4-mile track at COTA provided a world-class driving experience for evaluating vehicles in side-by-side comparisons unlike any other automotive media event. A total of 52 TAWA journalists attended and drove 42 vehicles during the two-day event.
As the first of a new generation of vehicles built on the all-new Giorgio platform, the 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio embodies Alfa Romeo’s La meccanica delle emozioni (the mechanics of emotion), delivering race-inspired performance, advanced technologies, seductive Italian style and an exhilarating driving experience to the premium mid-size sedan segment.
Bearing the iconic Quadrifoglio badge (a four-leaf clover encased in a white triangle), which has adorned all Alfa Romeo performance models, the all-new Giulia Quadrifoglio embodies the essence of Alfa Romeo’s racing legacy. The beating heart of this ultra-high-performance sedan is an all-aluminum direct-injection 2.9-liter twin-turbo intercooled V-6 engine, delivering a best-in-class 505 horsepower, as well as earning the title of the most powerful Alfa Romeo production car engine ever and the quickest with a class-leading 0-60 miles per hour (mph) acceleration in 3.8 seconds. Combined with an 8-speed automatic with steering column-mounted aluminum paddle shifters, with shifts in less than 100 milliseconds, the culmination of these performance attributes is a record-setting time at the Nürburgring of 7:32, making the Giulia the fastest four-door production sedan in the world.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio achieves these unprecedented figures with exclusive enhancements for ultimate performance. The Giulia Quadrifoglio is composed of a carbon-fiber hood and roof, rocker panel moldings, rear deck-lid spoiler, along with segment-exclusive carbon fiber drive shaft and active aero front splitter. The lightweight construction of carbon fiber combined with the Giulia’s aluminum body components create maximum weight savings that contribute to the near perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 supplies its 505 horses to the 19-inch staggered aluminum wheels (19 x 8.5-inch front and 19 x 10-inch rear), wrapped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa three-season high-performance tires. Combined with a torque vectoring differential, the Giulia Quadrifoglio delivers increased performance in every corner and on every straight away.
Yet, the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s luxurious performance is highlighted not only in its physical power, but also from its sleek, rich Italian interior design. The interior features sport seats adorned with high-performance leather and Alcantara, power bolsters, leather-wrapped dash and doors with accent stitching, 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel featuring a performance red push button start, carbon-fiber interior trim, aluminum sport pedal and footrest, 8-inch widescreen 3D Navigation on a hidden infotainment screen, Alfa’s DNA Pro Drive Mode Selector featuring RACE mode, as well as safety features including passive entry, blind-spot monitoring, back-up camera, front and rear park sensors, and much more.
Expanding Alfa Romeo’s lineup beyond the ultra-high performance Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Giulia and Giulia Ti models (with MSRPs of $37,995 and $39,995, respectively) exude stunning and functional Italian style with a finesse of Alfa Romeo heritage, athletically taut lines and sculptural details.
The all-new 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulia Ti models exude Italian style, craftsmanship and performance, all while delivering a comprehensive list of standard features, including an all-new, all-aluminum 2.0-liter direct-injection turbo engine with eight-speed automatic transmission delivering a class-leading, standard 280 horsepower, class-exclusive carbon fiber driveshaft, dual exhaust system with bright tips, leather seating, 7-inch full-color TFT, a 6.5-inch or 8.8-inch industry-first hidden widescreen infotainment display, Alfa DNA Drive Mode Selector with Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficiency vehicle behavior modes, sport-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated push button start, along with keyless-go with passive entry and remote start.
The intelligent Q4 all-wheel-drive system – available on Giulia and Giulia Ti – delivers even more all-season traction and performance capability, thanks to the system’s ability to transfer up to 60 percent of the engine’s torque to the front axle.
