Citroën Grand C4 Picasso wins the ‘Best 7-Seater’ prize in the Carbuyer Best Car Awards

Citroën Grand C4 Picasso scoops the ‘Best Seven-Seater’ prize in the prestigious Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2017. 

New Grand C4 Picasso was chosen by the Carbuyer road-test team because of its running costs, comfort, practicality, reliability and safety, as well as its new technologies, value-for-money and optional extras.  

New Citroën Grand C4 Picasso has taken the ‘Best Seven-Seater’ prize in the Carbuyer Best Car Awards 2017. 

The ultra-practical family car was recognised for its superior comfort and innovative technologies, alongside a supremely spacious and versatile interior.

Carbuyer announced its Best Cars for 2017 at London’s Curzon Bloomsbury Cinema on Wednesday. The Carbuyer awards celebrate and recognise the very best cars available in the UK. 

The awards are driven by the popular Carbuyer.co.uk Best Cars section, which includes in-depth analysis on every new car on sale today.

Vauxhall’s all-new Astra has been recognised as the Best Family Car at the Carbuyer Best Cars 2017 Awards. This latest win adds to what has been an outstanding year of awards for the all-new Astra, securing its position as one of the top new models on the market.

The multi award-winning Astra picked up the accolade in the Best Family Car category, and was commended for its design, value for money and build quality. 

The Carbuyer Best Cars Awards are focused on what matters to buyers, honouring the winners with the title of best in their respective classes.

Winning models are recognised as meeting, or surpassing, the standards that Carbuyer has identified across key buying factors such as style, space and running costs.

This latest win follows on from a trio of Carbuyer Car Tech Awards for Vauxhall, who picked up the titles of Tech Car of the Year and Best Self-Parking System for the new Astra, as well as Best Safety Innovation for Vauxhall OnStar.

Hyundai i10 wins Car of the Year from Car Dealers Power awards.

The New Generation i10 has been awarded ‘Car of the Year’ at the 2014 Car Dealer Power awards.

Voted for entirely by UK car dealers, the i10 triumphed over some tough competition from the likes of the popular Ford Fiesta ST and the Skoda Octavia.  The dealers praised its looks, build quality, value for money, refinement and industry-leading five-year unlimited mileage warranty - that is helping to encourage repeat  business.

MG takes 6th place over all in Driver Power AutoExpress survey, really, REALLY, yeah right.

Not content with taking home the Best Road Handling crown, the MG6 collected a further four top ten placings in this year’s Driver Power survey, run by Auto Express, the UK’s biggest selling weekly automotive magazine; including sixth place overall in the Top 150 Cars to Own and second in the Best Family Car category.

50,000 UK car owners took part in the annual survey, now in its 13^th year, detailing every aspect of car ownership- from performance to running costs. This year, the MG6 beat the Porsche 911 997 into second place in the Best Handling category, and finished third place behind the Land Rover Discovery MkIII and MkIV models in Best Ride Quality. Further placings include an impressive tenth in Seat Comfort and 18^th for practicality.

We knew when we first drove the car that it handled brilliantly and it seems owners agree. That they also rate the seat comfort and ride quality so highly is icing on the cake. The Longbridge based manufacturer has recently improved emissions of their latest 150 PS diesel engine, now emitting only 129g/Km of CO₂, while still retaining its sporty persona with 350 Nm of torque. The MG6 diesel variant is road tax exempt for the first year and costs only £110 a year to tax thereafter. 

Under the current Q2 specification upgrade offer, all MG6 customers automatically upgrade in specification for no additional costs. For example, an upgrade from an S variant to an SE is a saving of £1,200 and benefits from additional equipment such as satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, cruise control and leather steering wheel.
