And with a starting price of £17,290 OTR for the 1.4 TJet 160hp hatchback version, the new 595 Trofeo blends performance and technological innovation with outstanding value for money.
Based on the 595 Pista shown earlier this month at the Geneva International Motor show, the new 595 Trofeo builds on the UK concept of the 595 Trofeo Edition, launched in summer 2015, and takes it to the next level.

The new Trofeo is available in manual hatchback and convertible versions and comes equipped with a potent 160hp 1.4-litre TJet petrol engine complete with Record Monza exhaust.

A key feature of the car is the 7-inch Uconnect  infotainment system with Abarth Telemetry, which allows the owner to load famous European race tracks. Selecting them during track sessions brings up detailed maps and displays real-time tips to improve lap times. The driver can then access their recorded sessions and analyse their performance at any time. More tracks will be added post-launch.
The Uconnect system is also equipped with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto – which pairs with an iPhone/Android Phone in the car allowing access to maps, music, and messaging, using voice assistance and Uconnect technology.

  • 595 Trofeo 1.4 TJet 160hp hatchback                £17,290
  • 595 Trofeo 1.4 TJet 160hp cabriolet                   £19,290
“The new Trofeo is a novel and exciting idea for the 595 range,” says Gerry Southerington, brand manager, Abarth UK. “The extra standard equipment means it’s excellent value for money, while the technology such as the telemetry, makes it an ideal choice for customers who want to test their car’s performance on a racetrack. It’s a winning combination.”

GOODWOOD - Abarth to debut the All-New 124 Spider at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The eagerly-awaited Abarth 124 spider will be among the star cars of the show when it makes its UK dynamic debut at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The two-seater roadster, which has already attracted critical acclaim from the UK automotive press,  will be joined at Goodwood by the new Abarth 595 Competizione, the top-of-the-range version of the brand’s striking new 595 range, which has just been launched in the UK.

The 170hp 124 spider will be seen ‘on the move’ for the first time in the UK as it makes its way up the famous Goodwood estate’s Hillclimb. The car is one of a classic combination of new and historic vehicles that are being brought by Abarth to this year’s event (23-26 June).
The iconic ‘Scorpion’ brand has also prepared an exhibition stand in the ‘Moving Motor Show’ at the West Sussex festival, on which show-goers will be able to view both the new Abarth 124 rally and the historic Fiat 124 Abarth Rally.
Abarth 124 spider

The new Abarth 124 spider marks the return of the ‘spider’ badge, and is the natural heir of the original model launched in 1972. Equipped with a powerful four-cylinder 1.4-litre MultiAir Turbo engine, the new spider delivers 170 hp and 250 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 143 mph the car can go from 0 to 62mph in 6.8 seconds. The range starts at £29,565 OTR for the 1.4 TJet 170hp Manual.

Abarth 595 range

The new Abarth 595 follows on from the original model launched in 2008, and takes it to the next level, with a new design, greater performance and enhanced equipment.

Available as a hatchback or convertible, the new Abarth 595 is offered with three trim levels: 595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione, and three power levels to satisfy the requirements of Abarth enthusiasts. The range starts at £15,090 OTR for the 1.4 TJet 145hp Manual.

Abarth 124 rally

Presented for the first time in March at the Geneva Motor Show and then at the 100th Targa Florio, the Abarth 124 rally is making its debut in the UK at the Festival of Speed. Under the bonnet is an 1800cc turbocharged direct injection dual overhead camshaft engine which, thanks to the different selectable mappings, can provide up to 300 hp at 6500 rpm.

Fiat 124 Abarth Rally

The Fiat 124 Abarth Rally, part of Abarth’s historical collection, is derived from Fiat’s 124 Sports Spider, but with a more powerful engine, a remarkable structure and mechanical strengthening, and McPherson-type independent suspension and rear axle.

Developed in Abarth’s racing department, and equipped with a 200 hp 1756cc engine, the Fiat 124 Abarth Rally had a highly successful rallying career in the 1970s.

Abarth is releasing a special video bringing together the Abarth 124 spider and the Fiat 124 Abarth Rally which inspired it. The video is due for launch on the eve of the Festival of Speed (23 June). To see it, enthusiasts should log into Abarth’s Facebook and YouTube channels:

Abarth have announced pricing and specification for the ALl-New 124 Spider Roadster.

Pricing and specification for the all-new Abarth 124 spider have been announced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles UK, ahead of the stunning new car’s arrival here this summer.
And with a starting price of £29,565 OTR for the 1.4 TJet 170hp Manual, the new two-seater roadster represents outstanding value for money.

The new Abarth 124 spider marks the return of the ‘spider’ badge, and is the natural heir of the original model launched in 1972. The 2016 car incorporates performance, technology and iconic Italian style as the key factors of a very successful line-up.
Equipped with a powerful four-cylinder 1.4-litre MultiAir Turbo engine, the new spider delivers 170 hp and 250 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 143 mph the car can go from 0 to 62mph in 6.8 seconds. Furthermore, as the sound of the engine really matters in an Abarth, the Record Monza exhaust comes as standard, generating a unique growl.
The spider is available with a six-speed manual or the automatic Sequenziale Sportivo gearbox. The manual is characterised by quick and accurate shifting with a short-throw, direct lever, while the Sequenziale Sportivo gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted paddle shift, exploits all of the engine’s torque.
Each car is tested and certified by an Abarth technician who applies a metal plaque showing the sequential number of each car to certify the exclusiveness of the Abarth 124 spider: it’s a unique number for a unique customer.
Full pricing for the new Abarth 124 spider is as follows:
  • 124 spider 1.4 TJet 170hp Manual £29,565
  • 124 spider 1.4 TJet 170hp Automatic £31,605
Five body colours are available, emphasising sport and heritage: special solid "Turini 1975 White” and "Costa Brava 1972 Red", metallic "Isola d'Elba 1974 Blue", "Portogallo 1974 Grey" and "San Marino 1972 Black".
The new Abarth 124 spider has a three-gauge instrument binnacle featuring a large central rev counter, a speedometer on the right and a data display on the left allowing the driver to monitor all key driving information at a glance.
Standard equipment includes climate control system, cruise control, adjustable, electrically-folding door mirrors, and an infotainment system with ergonomic, selector dial on the centre console. The system features a 7-inch colour display, DAB digital tuner, MP3 player, two USB ports, AUX input, and Bluetooth connectivity.
There is also a stereo with four speakers while, for superior sound quality, a Bose premium sound system with nine speakers, including dual headrest speakers on both seats and a subwoofer, is available as an option. A satellite navigation system is also optional.
“The 124 spider is a new car and a new chapter in the exciting Abarth story,” says Gerry Southerington, Abarth brand manager. “It’s what many of our existing customers have been waiting for, and I am confident we will now welcome a new group of owners into the Abarth family. Great looks, stunning performance and unique equipment will set the 124 spider apart from other roadsters and I am excited about this car’s UK launch.”

Fiat launches pricing and specification for the all new Fiat 124 Spider Roadster.

  • New FIAT 124 Spider launched to the UK media at the international media launch in Verona, Italy
  • Powered by a 1.4-litre MultiAir Turbo Petrol engine producing 140hp and 240Nm acceleration from 0 to 62mph takes just 7.5 seconds and top speed is 134mph
  • High standard specification on all UK FIAT 124 Spiders includes air conditioning, a leather steering wheel and gear knob, cruise control, alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and keyless start
  • UK pricing for the FIAT 124 Spider start at £19,545 OTR
The new FIAT 124 Spider is launched to the UK media today, June 7 2016, at the international media event in Verona, Italy. Styled with classic Italian flair and reviving a storied nameplate, the new FIAT 124 Spider brings the authentic, Italian roadster driving experience to a whole new generation of British enthusiasts.

Designed in the FIAT Style Centre, the front-end of the FIAT 124 Spider encapsulates the essence of its classic predecessor in a modern and bold package - broad and muscular but also elegant and perfectly proportioned. The profile view is pure classic roadster, with its long wheelbase, a cockpit hunkered low near the driven rear axle and a long bonnet, all tied elegantly together by a horizontal line that emerges from the front wing, kicking up over the rear haunch and flowing toward the tail lamp, aping the distinctive bodywork of the original FIAT 124 Spider
The nose of the new FIAT 124 Spider also takes its inspiration from the 1966 original with the style and position of the LED headlamps and the hexagonal upper grille all drawing heavily from the details of the classic roadster. The bonnet of the new sports car also emulates the twin power domes of the second- generation FIAT 124 Spider (a functional design feature necessitated by the fitment of larger engines) while the rear view is defined by two main features: the swallow-tail rear wings, the upper surface of which cascade inward toward the decklid, and the sharp horizontal tail lamps with their distinctive ring shape.  An integrated rear spoiler enhances the aerodynamic performance of the new FIAT 124 Spider, while twin exhaust outlets are a reminder of its sporting pedigree.
The FIAT 124 Spider will be available to eight colours, with two pastel finishes (Passione Red and Ice White), five metallic shades (Volcano Black, Argento Grey, Fashion Grey, Magnetic Bronze and Italia Blue) and one tri-coat pearlescent finish: Urban White.
To minimise weight, improve longevity and encourage spur-of-the-moment open air driving experiences, the multi-layer canvas hood is a manual unit that can be operated in seconds using minimal force and without the driver having to leave their seat. Doing so reveals a cabin built to the highest standard from a variety of top-quality soft-touch and premium materials, painstakingly laid out and fine-tuned to ensure the perfect layout of pedals, steering wheel and gear lever with a clear view of the three-dial instrument cluster with a purposeful central rev-counter.
The steering wheel, too, is ergonomically designed to feel more comfortable in the hand and is wrapped with high-quality leather, while the light mesh structure seats and exclusive shape of the trim and foam parts were designed to guarantee the highest level of comfort. The door panels are trimmed with high-quality, soft-touch materials and beautifully detailed with satin-chrome elements.
Under the FIAT 124 Spider’s distinctive bonnet you’ll find the brand’s proven 1,368cc MultiAir, turbo-charged four-cylinder engine which delivers 140hp and 240Nm of torque to the rear wheels via six-speed manual transmission and compact rear differential. The FIAT 124 Spider is capable of accelerating to 62mph/100km/h in just 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 134mph/215 km/h.
The FIAT 124 Spider's suspension uses a double-wishbone layout in front and a multilink in the rear, specifically tuned for greater stability while braking and turning, while the dual-pinion electric power steering system has been specifically tuned to give the Spider a responsive, Italian feel. Combined with the lightweight architecture and balanced weight distribution, the turbo-charged FIAT 124 Spider offers a dynamic and exciting driving experience without compromising comfort and refinement, thanks to the adoption of an acoustic front windscreen and additional insulation treatments.
The new FIAT 124 Spider offers an extensive range of active and passive safety devices. A voice-controlled infotainment system (with Bluetooth), LED rear light clusters, four airbags, TPMS, cruise control, a speed limiter and ESC with ABS and EBD are all standard, as are seat belts with pre-tensioners and Constant-Force Retractors (CFR) to control the degree of force applied by the belt onto the occupant and then gradually release it in a controlled manner.  The body, made from high-tensile materials, has dedicated structural elements designed specifically to dissipate and absorb energy in the event of impact, aided by a steering column designed for energy absorption and a non-intrusive pedal box. A rear parking assistance system, a reversing camera, keyless entry and automatic lights and wipers also improve safety, security and convenience, where fitted.
Three trim levels will be offered in the UK: Classica, Lusso and Lusso Plus. Standard equipment on the entry-level Classica version includes an impressive array of features including four airbags, air conditioning, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, a leather-trimmed gear knob, cruise control with speed limiter, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless engine start and a powerful infotainment system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. A seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with DAB, WiFi, two USB ports and a multimedia control knob is available as a £500 option.
The mid-range Lusso version is equipped with that seven-inch infotainment system as standard, but adds satellite navigation with 3D maps and the Parkview rear parking camera as well. It is also equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated leather upholstery, automatic climate control, front fog lamps, keyless entry, chrome exhaust tips and a premium silver finish on the windscreen frame and rollover bars.
The top Lusso Plus model builds on the excellent specification of the Lusso model by adding adaptive LED headlamps, LED DRLs, automatic lights and wipers and a nine-speaker BOSE sound system (including stereo headrest speakers on both seats).
Prices for the FIAT 124 Spider starts at £19,545 OTR for the Classica version, with the Lusso model prised at £22,295 and the top Lusso Plus trim just £1,000 more at £23,295.
