Citroen adds a new fully automatic transmission to its multi award winning C4 Cactus range.

Citroën has added its 6-speed fully automatic gearbox to the multi-award winning C4 Cactus range. Officially ‘on sale’ in the UK from Wednesday 1 February 2017, the latest-generation EAT6 auto transmission offers a smooth drive and even greater levels of comfort.

Citroën customers can now enjoy an even more relaxing drive and greater comfort with the introduction of the brand’s 6-speed automatic transmission to the multi-award winning C4 Cactus line-up. Paired with the PureTech 110 S&S petrol engine – an International Engine of the Year winner in 2015 and 2016 – the EAT6 automatic transmission will be available in C4 Cactus from February production.

The 6-speed Efficient Automatic Transmission (EAT6) delivers a compelling blend of smooth power delivery, ultra-fast gear changes and dynamic efficiency. In addition, the new-generation transmission ensures excellent low-speed driveability thanks to a ‘creep’ function that is particularly convenient in congested traffic.

This latest addition to the C4 Cactus range is exclusively available with the PureTech 110 S&S 3-cylinder petrol engine in Flair trim. The model also features a 7-inch touchscreen, eMyWay satellite navigation, a colour reversing camera, rear parking sensors, as well as Bluetooth® connectivity and media streaming.

The Citroën C4 Cactus PureTech 110 S&S EAT6 auto Flair also boasts competitive fuel economy, returning 55.4 mpg (combined), with CO₂ emissions of just 118g/km.

Team BMR can today confirm that the team has parted company with Colin Turkington

Team BMR can today confirm that the team has parted company with Colin Turkington after mutually agreeing to end the contract.

Colin has had two successful seasons with Team BMR in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and in 2015, his maiden year with the team, he played a huge part in putting BMR on the map with his massive contribution in assisting us in claiming our first ever Team's Championship title along with his fifth Independents Championship crown.

2016 saw BMR bringing Subaru to the championship as a new manufacturer outfit and Colin’s commitment along with his input to the team was a huge asset in aiding us to develop our newly built Subaru Levorg’s.  Colin also made history by bringing the first Subaru BTCC Pole Position backed up by a maiden win for the Subaru Levorg.  His success continued throughout the season claiming further pole positions, race wins and podiums establishing himself in the final three for the overall championship title at Brands Hatch back in October.  He ended the season 4^th overall in a battle that nearly saw the Ulsterman claiming his third BTCC title.

Speaking of Colin’s time at Team  BMR owner/driver Warren Scott commented; “Colin has been an absolute pleasure to work with over the past two seasons and has brought a tremendous amount of knowledge to the team which has aided BMR in it’s growth and development as a front running BTCC team.

Speaking of his time with us here at BMR Colin Turkington stated; “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Team BMR and will savour the success we shared together over the past two seasons; however, the time has come to part company and apply the focus to each of our own individual goals and needs.

I sincerely value the journey we have shared together securing the Teams Championship in 2015, winning my fifth Indy title and of course the thrilling year we have just had with the Subaru Levorg.  I have been fortunate to work with some of the best in the business at BMR and it has been a valuable experience and certainly helped me grow and improve.

The BTCC is surely one of the toughest Championships in the world to win and to finish last season with a realistic shot at winning the title in a new car was a tremendous achievement.

I wish Team BMR every success going forward and I hope they are just as proud of our two seasons together as I am.”

USA - Motor Trend has named the Chevrolet Bolt Electric Vehicle as its 2017 Car Of The Year.

MOTOR TREND has recognized the Chevrolet Bolt EV — the all-new affordable electric vehicle offering an EPA-estimated 238 miles of range on a full charge — as its 2017 Car of the Year^®.

The editors based their selection on the Bolt EV’s performance in six evaluation categories: advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance of intended function.

Concern :	FUEL MAY LEAK
Description :	The under bonnet fuel hoses routed on top of the engine may chafe against a plastic moulded noise suppressing material retaining posts on the underside of the engine top cover. The fuel hoses can, over time, chafe through the protective sleeve and fuel hose. Should the fuel hose wear through, there will be an increased diesel fuel odour due to diesel fuel leaking. If this warning is ignored, diesel fuel may leak onto the exhaust manifold (potential fire hazard) or onto the road surface (potential skid hazard).
Remedial Action :	Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and ensure the securing washers are pushed fully home. Additionally remove 8mm from the plastic moulded retaining posts. The tape wrapped around the fuel hose protective sleeve and the fuel hose will be visually inspected and replaced if there are signs of damage.
