Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Ssangyong gives the buyer a half price upgrade on the huge Turismo MPV.

Following the sales success of its seven seat Turismo MPV in recent months, SsangYong Motor UK has increased its deliveries of cars, and is currently able to offer a ‘half price upgrade’ to customers selecting the next model up in the range.

Customers ordering the following cars now benefit from savings of up to £1,250.
  • Turismo EX adds alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated seats and privacy glass over the SE model - ‘Half price upgrade’: £1,000
  • Turismo EX auto adds the new 7-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission - ‘Half price upgrade’ over the EX manual: £750
  • Turismo ELX auto adds 17” alloy wheels, 4x4, solar glass and automatic windscreen wipers - ‘Half price upgrade’ over an EX auto: £1,250
Offering family and business users a car to transport seven adults together with their luggage, the SsangYong Turismo blends multi-role flexibility, a comfortable ride and the equipment of a luxury saloon, and is almost without rival.
At over 5 metres long and with a 3 metre wheelbase, the car is larger than a standard sized MPV people carrier, and powered by a highly efficient 2.2 litre Euro 6 diesel engine.  The Turismo also now offers the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or new Mercedes-Benz 7-speed automatic.
The car provides a huge interior space where seven adults can travel in supreme comfort with their luggage loaded in the back, without having to compromise on passenger accommodation.  There are three rows of seats as well as a large load space which can be further increased by removing the third row completely.  This gives a massive load carrying capability of between 875 litres with seven adults seated, through to two adults and 3,146 litres of load space.
While rear wheel drive features on the SE and EX, the top of the range ELX includes selectable 4x4 with low ratio as standard.  This makes the Turismo ELX a car you can rely on, and is especially safe and practical whether towing a caravan, horsebox or boat trailer, or when driving across a slippery field.  All Turismo models have an impressive 2 tonne towing capability.
The new Turismo utilises double wishbone front suspension and rear independent multi-link suspension for executive saloon style ride quality.  This set-up offers a quiet and comfortable driving environment with firm body control, a flat ride and optimum stability regardless of the road conditions.

They Liked the new MG6 so much they purchased one each.

One very happy couple from North Essex is now driving around in style after they decided to treat themselves to a brand new MG6 – each!

Mr and Mrs MG, previously known as Paul and Ann, bought their new MG6s from their local dealer, Roy Tolley MG in Colchester, Essex, after seeing them on display in July at the local Tendring Show in Manningtree.

Both he and Ann were really impressed with the car’s appearance, handling and comfort. The only thing they couldn’t agree on was the colour, so they got one each!

Paul and Ann have always been keen car enthusiasts. Paul said: “We’ve owned many cars over the years, including premium models from manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz. We’re particularly enthusiastic about the MG brand and love what the company has done with its most recent models.

“MG offers a superb overall package and great value for money, and when you add in the fact that the latest MG6 is a fine-looking, generously-equipped car, we didn’t hesitate to buy another one!”

The couple picked up their cars earlier this month from Roy Tolley MG’s Sales Executive Jack Kendrick. Paul added: “When it comes to buying an MG we couldn’t have done better than to visit Roy Tolley MG. Jack and Sales Coordinator Darren Chisnall have been excellent and the whole friendly team gave us exceptional customer service.”

The new MG6, which was launched earlier this year, now offers customers much higher levels of specification.

The entry-level model, from £13,995, boasts features such as heated seats, front LED daytime running lamps (DRL) and an electronic parking brake. The top spec still comes well under £20,000 at £17,995 and offers customers a touch infotainment system as well as a rear parking camera.

The MG6, along with the MG3, are both currently available on 0% finance and, with the growing network of dealers, it’s the perfect time to book in for a test drive and see for yourself why the car is worthy of being bought twice.

USA - First all new Mustang Convertibles on there way to dealers NOW.

  • Keys to the first 2015 Ford Mustang convertibles will be in customers’ hands shortly
  • Available heated seats and remote start allow the all-new Mustang convertible to be enjoyed year-round, even in the coldest climates
  • Selectable drive modes with a snow/wet setting tunes Mustang to perform well in inclement weather conditions
Ford Motor Company is excited to announce the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible will begin shipping to dealerships nationwide this week.

“Cold weather may have come unseasonably early this year, but with available heated seats, remote start and selectable drive modes with a snow/wet setting, Mustang is the perfect offering for the season,” said Melanie Banker, Mustang brand manager.

Heated seats, standard on all premium Mustang convertibles, allow the driver and front passenger to stay warm even when the temperature drops. “While these seats also have a cooling feature, we suspect customers won’t be using this function for a few more months,” said Banker.

Remote start, standard on all automatic-transmission Mustang models, allows customers to fire up their drop-top from the comfort of their home, even in inclement weather conditions. When remote start is used, Mustang not only warms up its engine, it also warms the interior of the car to a comfortable temperature.

Selectable drive modes, standard on premium Mustang models, features a wet/snow setting that tweaks throttle response, steering effort and traction control to mitigate wheel spin and maximize vehicle control.
“Mustangs are made for year-round practicality and enjoyment,” Banker said, “so it’s exciting that customers are taking delivery of their convertible Mustang models – regardless of the season.”

50 years of Ford Mustang

More than 9.2 million Mustangs have been sold since the car’s 1964 debut.

Now with more options to choose from, there is a Mustang to fit any lifestyle. The upgraded V8 in Mustang GT – now delivering 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque – is joined by a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine that brings state-of-the-art technology to Mustang.

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost uses direct injection, variable cam timing and a twin-scroll turbocharger to deliver the performance Mustang drivers expect, with an output of 310 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque.
In addition to being the most-liked vehicle on Facebook, with 8 million likes, the all-new Mustang is turning on U.S. dealer lots in an average of eight days.
