Nissan announces September sales and six month figures, April-September.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for September and the six months from April to September, 2014.
1. Production
September

Nissan's global production in September decreased 4.0% year-on-year to 428,615 units.
Production in Japan decreased 24.9% year-on-year to 71,134 units.
Production outside of Japan increased 1.7% year-on-year to 357,481 units, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In the U.S., production increased 17.3% year-on-year to 82,983 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Rogue, marking an all-time record for the month of September.

In Mexico, production increased 19.7% year-on-year to 67,562 units, mainly due to strong sales of the Sentra, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In the U.K., production increased 5.1% year-on-year to 48,980 units, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In Spain, production decreased 23.2% year-on-year to 8,301 units. The decrease was mainly due to discontinued production of Nissan Primaster and Renault Trafic.
In China, production was down 19.9% year-on-year to 92,049 units.
Production in other regions was up 10.8% year-on-year to 57,606 units.
April-September
Nissan's global production from April to September increased 1.3% year-on-year to 2,449,563 units.
In Japan, domestic production declined 17.4% year-on-year to 413,469 units.
Production outside of Japan increased 6.2% year-on-year to 2,036,094 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In the U.S., production was up 18.6% year-on-year to 463,991 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In Mexico, production increased 17.5% year-on-year to 404,338 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In the U.K., production was down 7.1% year-on-year to 225,507 units.
In Spain, production increased 4.1% year-on-year to 68,890 units.
In China, production was down 0.7% year-on-year to 574,337 units.
Production in other regions increased 1.6% year-on-year to 299,031 units.
2. Sales
September

Global sales decreased 1.5% year-on-year to 440,241 units.
Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 61,641 units in Japan, down 13.6% year-on-year.
In Japan, vehicle registrations in September decreased 21.6% year-on-year to 39,791 units.
Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increased 6.2% year-on-year to 21,850 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.
Sales outside of Japan increased 0.8% year-on-year to 378,600 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.
Sales in the U.S. increased 18.5% year-on-year to 102,955 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue, Sentra, Versa and Nissan LEAF.
Sales in Mexico increased 22.3% year-on-year to 24,089 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to increased demand for the new X-Trail and March. Nissan has been the sales leader in Mexico for 64 consecutive months.
In Europe, sales increased 4.5% year-on-year to 70,426 units, mainly due to strong sales of the new X-Trail and Note.
In China, sales were down 20.0% year-on-year to 93,748 units.
Sales in other regions were up 0.4% year-on-year to 76,306 units.
April-September
Global sales increased 4.4% year-on-year to 2,555,490 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 290,894 units in Japan, down 7.6% year-on-year.
In Japan, vehicle registrations declined 19.0% year-on-year to 182,876 units.
Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increased 21.1% year-on-year to 108,018 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Sales outside of Japan were up 6.2% year-on-year to 2,264,596 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Sales in the U.S. increased 13.7% year-on-year to 708,306 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Sales in Mexico increased 9.3% year-on-year to 138,080 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In Europe, sales were up 8.4% year-on-year to 334,038 units.
In China, sales decreased 0.9% year-on-year to 596,065 units.
Sales in other regions were down 0.1% year-on-year to 421,735 units.
3. Japan Exports
September

Nissan's exports in September decreased 33.7% year-on-year to 39,990 units.
April-September
Nissan's exports decreased 20.1% year-on-year to 233,663 units.
