Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrated the UK public premiere of the company’s latest model, the Rolls-Royce Dawn, at the Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday. More than 10,000 fans and enthusiasts were able to experience the car at first hand and speak with employees from the Home of Rolls-Royce, based a short distance from the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The new Rolls-Royce Dawn takes inspiration from the elegant and timeless Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn dropheads of the 1940s and 1950s, whilst delivering a world-first in super-luxury motoring – a cool, modern interpretation of what a super-luxury four-seater convertible motor car should be in 2015 – rare, refined and the most social motor car there is.
The new Rolls-Royce Dawn stands apart from its stable mates, featuring 80% unique body panels, and is the quietest open-top car ever made.
Displayed alongside Dawn, Wraith ‘Inspired by Music’ also drew huge crowds, attracted to the effortlessly cool exterior finish, contemporary use of copper in the interior and the extraordinary clarity of sound and dynamic range delivered via a Bespoke Audio system. Wraith ‘Inspired by Music’ completes a trilogy of striking and distinctive Bespoke Collections.
The first, Wraith ‘Inspired by Film’ celebrates Rolls-Royce’s long association with the silver screen, whilst Wraith ‘Inspired by Fashion’ allows customers to commission a true piece of automotive haute couture inspired by the materials and motifs of cutting-edge high fashion.
Complementing the Rolls-Royce Dawn and Wraith on the Motor Circuit grid was a Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, finished in the bright purple colour scheme and branding of Together for Short Lives, the UK children’s palliative care charity. The Ghost Series II has been donated by Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars for a year and will be used by the charity as it embarks on a non-stop ‘Rolls Rally’, visiting all four corners of Britain. The rally will raise awareness of the charity’s work, helping to provide round-the-clock care to some of the most seriously ill children in the country.
