Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

The stolen Vehicle device, TRACKER, located three Range Rovers at Felixstowe Docks before they got exported.

TRACKER (part of the Tantalum Corporation), the leading stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) provider, played a key role in helping police recover three stolen Range Rovers which were found hidden in a shipping container at Felixstowe Port. The hidden TRACKER device on a Range Rover Sport, also enabled Suffolk Police to locate a Range Rover Sport Autobiography, Range Rover Evoque, valued in excess of £100,000
The Pictures below are indicative of Range Rover vehicles found inside of Containers and should not be seen as the actual cars, which the report is based upon.

Commenting on the recovery, Adrian Davenport, Police Liaison Manager for TRACKER, said: “Exporting and selling stolen vehicles abroad on the black market is a highly lucrative business for organised criminal gangs. These Range Rovers would have been shipped overseas to awaiting clients and sold for a tidy profit. The Range Rover Sport was in fact the most stolen and recovered vehicle in 2015, demonstrating how highly desirable these cars are for thieves. We are certainly seeing a growing demand for these types of vehicles in places like Africa and the Middle East.”
TRACKER’s Mesh Network creates an added defence against vehicle theft by using other vehicles already fitted with a TRACKER product to identify stolen vehicles, therefore creating its very own social network. When a vehicle fitted with a TRACKER unit passes any TRACKER SVR equipped vehicle that has been reported stolen, it automatically sends a signal to TRACKER providing the location of the stolen asset.
Adrian Davenport continues, “Thanks to our close working relationship with the Police, combined with TRACKER’s unique GSM, VHF and GPS technology, we can help them locate a stolen vehicle, even if it is underground, a garage or in a shipping container. In addition, TRACKER has just supplied additional Police Tracking equipment at strategic ports around the UK, so if a customer’s brand new Range Rover Sport ends up dockside, there is an even greater chance we will pick it up before it leaves the country.”
