Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

UPDATED - 1987 Volvo 340 - Time Warp - 132 miles and in near mint condition, sells for £5,250

The 1987 Volvo 340GL with just 132 miles on the clock, which had everyone talking during the viewing period, sold for £5,250 including premium, at Anglia Car Auctions Classic Car Sale on Saturday 5th April.
Initial results show 78 per cent of the 170 lots available sold for a total price of over £800,000, with some strong sales, especially for those examples with low mileage and low ownership such as the 1992 Renault 5 Campus, boasting just 202 miles, which had the hammer down at £3,570.

At the other end of the market, the biggest seller of the day was the 1966 Mercedes 230SL Automatic at £50,400 including premium. This was swiftly followed by a 1985 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible at £46,200 and a 1967 Jaguar S-Type at £25,725.
The 1968 Triumph TR5 PI barn find, offered with no reserve and attracting international telephone bidders, remains in the UK after being sold for £15,225 with premium.  An Austin 10 Tourer project car, offered after being in dry storage for 40 years, also got a good price at £6,510 including premium.
An estimated 1,700 enthusiasts attended the sale at Anglia Car Auctions’ Kings Lynn base with the next Classic Car Sale is scheduled for Saturday 14th June 2014.
