Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Volvo Cars UK Wins the at ExpertEye Customer satisfaction awards 2015

Volvo Car UK has been awarded the ‘Most Improved Fleet Manufacturer’ at the Experteye Customer Satisfaction Awards 2015. Selwyn Cooper, head of business sales at Volvo Car UK, accepted the honour at the awards lunch held in London on Thursday 5th March.

The awards are a result of a bi-annual survey conducted by Experteye and is seen as a key industry indicator by both the manufacturer and contract hire industry. By gathering key management feedback from senior decision-makers from 35 leasing companies about the quality of products, services and support they receive from the vehicle manufacturers it is a highly accurate and current reflection of fleet sector opinion.

Selwyn Cooper commented: “I’d like to thank Experteye and all those that took part in the survey for recognising the effort that Volvo has invested in the corporate segment, with fantastic initiatives that have been put in place to help assist fleet operators and those with fleet responsibilities. We have a great team working to make it less stressful for everyone concerned, from fleet managers to individuals, giving the best possible advice and deals for anyone considering a Volvo as a company car.”

“This is a tremendous win for Volvo because the effort and investment made in driving forward their fleet proposition is clearly being recognised by senior decision makers across the sector,” said Rick Yarrow, managing director of Experteye. “All results are based on independent feedback we receive from the major leasing companies, making Volvo deserved winners of the most improved fleet manufacturer for 2015.”

During 2014, Volvo Car UK launched its new Volvo Car Business Centre (VCBC), taking the pressure off company car managers with on-call tailored advice from a dedicated expert support team.

The VCBC is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, supporting the Volvo Car UK national dealer network as well as 25 regional dealer-run business centres. Business buyers who contact the Centre are given their own FSA-trained account manager who listens to their needs and gives expert advice on model and engine ranges, as well as tailored guidance on funding options, employee schemes and service and maintenance packages.

Also launched during 2014 was a scheme designed to help reduce risks and costs for fleets, called Co-Pilot. The scheme was developed in conjunction with Volvo’s driver risk consultancy partner, Fleet21 and is a free of charge support package for every company buying or leasing its first Volvo.

The package includes a fleet policy drawn up by legal experts, licence checks, driver handbooks and online risk assessments for up to 20 drivers. Further advice and discounted services are provided by a consortium of fleet support specialists brought together by Volvo.

Volvo’s mission statement is that by 2020, no-one will be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo. This programme helps contribute towards that goal by insuring that the necessary advice is given to SMEs to help them get on top of their legal and social obligations, plus ensuring the safety of their fleets and drivers.
