- Jaguar Land Rover U.S. July sales increase 51 percent for the best ever July sales month
- With the brand’s expanded line up in showrooms, Jaguar jumps 174 percent for the best sales month since March 2005
- F-PACE becomes Jaguar’s volume leader with 1,609 units sold
- Land Rover Sales up 21 percent from record 2015 July sales; making it the best ever Land Rover July sales month
- Range Rover Sport is Land Rover’s volume leader with 1,772 units sold and has it’s best July since 2005
Jaguar Land Rover today reported July 2016 U.S. sales: Jaguar
sales were 3,398 units, a 174 percent increase from 1,242 units in July 2015;
Land Rover sales reached 6,075 units, up 21 percent from record sales of 5,011
units in July 2015; Jaguar Land Rover July U.S. sales for both brands hit 9,473
units, a 51 percent increase from 6,253 units in July 2015 and the best July
sales month ever.
Year-to-date,
Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales reached 57,112, up 23 percent from 46,401 units in
2015. For the calendar year, Jaguar sales reached 14,389, up 59 percent
form 9,078 units in 2015; making it the leading brand in the industry based on
year-on-year performance. Land Rover is fourth in year-to-date sales growth in
the U.S. automotive industry, reaching 42,723 units, up 14% from 37,323 units
in 2015.

sales in the U.S. supported by the continued growth of its newest model,

U.S. BRAND HIGHLIGHTS
Land
Rover
For
the month of July, Land Rover sales hit 6,075 units sold, up 21 percent; making
this the best ever July sales month for the brand. In the U.S., year to date
through July, Land Rover is continuing to grow with sales up 14 percent to
42,723 versus 37,323 in 2015.
For
the month of July, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport were the volume
leaders hitting 1,164 and 1,772 units sold, respectively.
Sales
of the Discovery Sport hit 1,163 units, up 142 percent from 481 in 2015.
Diesel
powered versions of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport hit 504 units, accounting
for approximately 20 percent of total Range Rover and Range Rover Sport sales
for July.
The
2016 Land Rover model line-up features five models: The Discovery
Sport
and Range Rover Evoque, both powered by 240-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engines;
the LR4, powered by a 340-hp supercharged V6 engine; and the Range Rover and
Range Rover Sport available with five powertrain options – a 340-hp
supercharged V6 petrol, a 380-hp supercharged V6 petrol, a 510-hp supercharged
V8 petrol, a 550-hp supercharged V8 petrol and a new 254-hp turbocharged
3.0-liter V6 diesel.
Jaguar
For
the month of July, Jaguar sales were 3,398 units, a 174 percent increase from
1,242 units in July 2015; making it the best Jaguar sales month since March
2005.
July
marked the second full sales month of Jaguar’s two new entry luxury vehicles:
the 2017 XE compact luxury sedan, starting at $34,900*, and the 2017 F-PACE
compact luxury SUV, starting at $40,990*. The Jaguar XE hit 641 units sold and
the F-PACE hit 1,609 units sold; making it the brand’s volume leader.
Sales
of the all-new, redesigned Jaguar XF hit 533 units, up 13 percent from 470 in
2015.
Receiving
its mid-cycle refresh for 2016, the full-size Jaguar XJ sedan, available with
three powertrain options – a 340-HP supercharged V6, a 470-hp supercharged V8
and a 550-hp supercharged V8 – is offered in both standard and long wheelbase
lengths in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations. Completely redesigned
for the 2016 model year, the mid-size Jaguar XF sedan is offered with two
supercharged V6 powertrains producing 340- and 380-hp and is available with
rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE is newly available with options
of all-wheel drive and a manual transmission. Available powertrains include two
supercharged V6 engines producing 340- and 380-hp and a 550-hp supercharged V8
all available in both in coupe and convertible body styles across four trim
levels.
Starting
with 2016 model year vehicles, the Jaguar brand will have an improved
competitive value position via steps such as increased standard equipment or
new lower MSRP choices by model. Also starting in model year 2016, all Jaguar
models will come standard with Jaguar EliteCare, an ownership package with
class-leading five-years or 60,000-mile warranty, complimentary scheduled
maintenance coverage, roadside assistance and Jaguar InControl® Protect &
RemoteTM2.
