Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 28,758 units delivered in July 2016. There are some positive points within the dropping sales figures, the Golf GTi and Golf R are both highlights within the Golf family of cars, along with the new Tiguan which also sees sales growth.
The remainder of the range are showing decreases, mainly in part to the diesel gate scandal, which is currently undergoing rectification within a number of states, along with compensation packages agreed, fines paid and continued bad press, the sales at the German giant will continue to fall below the previous years for some time yet, well, in the USA they will, elsewhere within the world, sales are starting to grow again, and within 18 months to two years, this will all be forgotten, just like it was the very first time they got caught cheating.
