Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

USA SALES JUNE - Audi stretches out its monthly growth to 66 consecutive months of increased sales.

  • Audi SUVs drove strong sales in June, rising 29 percent
  • Q3 SUV sales nearly doubled to 1,719, tying monthly sales record
  • Q7 SUV sales rose 60 percent
Audi reported that its June 2016 sales increased 1 percent to 18,445 vehicles, the brand’s 66th consecutive monthly sales record in the U.S.

The previous June record was set in 2015 with 18,262 Audi vehicles sold. Through the first six months of 2016, Audi U.S. sales have risen 3.5 percent from last year to 96,934 vehicles. Audi sold more vehicles in the U.S. during the first six months of 2016 than in any full year prior to 2010.

Demand for Audi SUVs bolstered June sales with a 29 percent increase over June 2015. The Q3 posted 1,719 vehicles sold for the month, a 98 percent increase over last June. Sales of the Q5 rose 3.5 percent over last June, to 4,419 vehicles. Q7 sales rose 60 percent from last June, to 2,613 vehicles.

“Consumer demand for our SUVs is driving record sales,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “As we enter the summer selling season, we are certain that the outstanding performance of the dealer network will result in another successful year.”

The all-new A4 Sedan posted sales of 2,802 vehicles in June. Year-to-date sales have increased 10 percent over 2015.

The new A3 Sportback e-tron had 353 deliveries in June and 1,942 vehicles sold year-to-date.
